If you just want to power it on after you've fully disconnected the battery, then just give it 3.6 volts.

​@@leefiles I have the same tablet, I guess it's the same value for the resistor ? I will check with my meter. I just changed the battery but it's still broken (shuting down at 85% & very slow charging...). Maybe a voltage controller which is defective ? Anw the tablet has become very sticky on the back and slow as well, I plan to use it as an auxiliary static screen with the HDMI input :)

I don't think that's a good idea. It's a cheap pond water pump found on amazon, ebay, etc... You will need something more robust.

I am assuming you mean to run the tablet on an alternate power source. You can power it up with a lab power supply. Adjust it to 3.6 volts or whatever your battery says. Usually, its 3.6 or 3.7 volts.

You could, but its such a harry mess to do so. If you really want to, you can get one of those DAC audio add-ons. I never bothered to audio capture (record audio) with a rpi 0. The regular pis are just the same. Again, yes you can, and no I didn't.

Water can still move through the pump even when off if some other source was pulling on it such as siphon by gravity.

settings, "save on exit". now when you kill the app, it will restart with the same stack. This seems to work most of the time. I tried this a bunch of times and most of the time it works. Sadly, its an unsupported app. the guy hasn't updated it in years. So it could be that new android security and other changes caused it to be quirky.

are you using rechargeables? They may not be able to provide enough voltage. AAs are 1.5 volts. enloops are 1.2 volts.

Anyway, when you think your flashlight is broken, you can take it apart if that's your style. I do that. I take everything apart. My flashlight still works. I let my kids play with it. If you take it apart, you can see if maybe the wires are not attached. Or perhaps something is loose.

Yes, I remember making that mistake. It was too late to correct it once posted. I have a no-name box that boosts single cells to 12 volts. but it works only up to 1 A or so. I also have a stack of boards that will boost a single li-ion to above 12 volts. but, yes thanks for politely noticing that.

Many years ago, cell phones were repairable. I remember I got one and the first thing I did before even powering it on for the first time was that I took it apart. Then I put it back together and then finally powered it on for the first time. But you can't do that anymore because phones are not superglued together and if you hot melt it open, its very hard to get it back to it's normal form. It can be done and those guys at shopping malls do it all day long. For individuals, its a pain.

I actually got that "probe shiny" thing just for the battery holder component. I took out the guts. I used the holder in my projects.

The tablet would tell you the battery level, but I would not rely on that because it is not the original battery and that there are extra wires ( longer wires from board to battery) so, it would not be reliable. But it worked fine.

This is an old version. In older versions, people did fly-bys. The time counted even if you don't kill anything at all. In the old version, you see people flying by in only 12 seconds. The devs changed all than. Now you must kill all.

No. It is soldered on. This is an old unit. You are probably looking to buy a more modern model. Most of these fanless models are modified so that the CPU runs slower and less hot. So, usually, you cannot change the CPU.

Oh, I still have it. But there are much newer devices. I would recommend a new model. They still sell this old one on amazon. I don't know why. It was already old when I got it. In terms of tiny routers, I am currently into the GL.iNet opensource routers. They come with OpenWrt built in. I have several of their devices so far. The only thing about them that the masses probably wont like is that these devices are pretty much almost roll-your-own or you-are-on-your-own. Well, they're pre-rolled, but you really are on your own. They are stable if you have the patience. I have their tiny yellow "mango" box (same size as the tp-link above) and I have their new "Beryl (GL-MT1300)" grey box. The new one has WPA3.

I also have a "Jetway JBC323U591W Intel Braswell Celeron N3160 Dual Intel LAN Fanless NUC" ( as copy paste from my amazon purchase ). That one is running Linux. A router specific version of Linux. It is quite inefficient to do it this way, but I just want to have that as a gateway between the internet modem and my LAN ( Local Area Network ). I like to know what traffic is going out to the internet.

There were spinners going for $500USD at that time. These went out of style pretty quickly.
